Healthcare Construction Projects Start to Finish
Join us for a discussion of infection prevention and control during the implementation of healthcare construction projects. Our presenters will be using real life examples of construction projects in Southern Health - Santé Sud
The session will follow with a brief outline of the Canadian Healthcare Engineering Course from Stephen Cumpsty and Reynold Peters of Manitoba Chapter of the Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society.

Paula Enns, RN, BN, Regional Infection Control Coordinator, Southern Health - Santé Sud
A nurse of 25 years, with current role as Regional Coordinator, Infection Prevention and Control, Paula started her journey in healthcare as a rural first responder, gaining further interest in the patient care experience. She completed her LPN training, closely followed by a nursing degree at U of M. Paula has enjoyed a diverse nursing career, with her current specialization being Construction and Renovation in Healthcare.
Marcel Bedard, Construction Officer, Southern Health - Santé Sud
Marcel is a power engineer by trade and has worked in facilities maintenance his entire career. He joined SHSS in 2016 in an FM role and has since moved to capital office in 2019.
